innius 1.5 comes with new options for achieving productivity and performance improvements
Veenendaal, Netherlands — April 4th, 2017 — innius, the software solution for production companies that want to ensure optimal business outcomes from their industrial assets, is now available in the new release 1.5.0. This version of innius enhances the visibility of the performance of industrial assets and production processes and boosts the usability of the interfaces in the innius mobile and web apps.
One common concern in manufacturing companies running round-the-clock shifts is that productivity and output quality can greatly vary from shift to shift. In innius 1.5, you can assess Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other critical production KPIs per shift. You can also visualize and review the shift data on individual IoT sensors placed on industrial assets, and easily compare shift-related metrics to earlier time periods.
John Rijksen, Managing Director at Innius B.V. says, “Manufacturing companies always look to help their production workers and maintenance teams become more effective. By zooming in on production and performance metrics per shift, they can more easily pinpoint differences in how workers accomplish their tasks. That makes it possible to fill skills gaps, provide refresher trainings, or extend best practices consistently across the operation.”
While innius 1.5 increases the visibility of manufacturing activities and machines for production and industrial asset managers, they now have a broader choice of devices and need to take fewer steps than before to review real-time data from the solution’s asset condition-monitoring. You can configure and review KPIs in the innius web app, which previously was only possible on mobile Android devices. In the web app, you also can closely inspect the data related to your KPIs and take a step into deeper data granularity by assessing sensor data and tracking sensor state changes on dedicated pages.
Usability enhancements in innius 1.5 make it even easier to take advantage of the solution’s capabilities. The layout of many screens has become cleaner and more intuitive. New icons for each menu option along with revisions to the texts in menus and on buttons simplify users’ decisions and navigation. On most screens, the options menu no longer requires downward scrolling. The process for retrieval and reset of lost and forgotten passwords was streamlined to minimize disruptions in the user experience.
“When we developed innius 1.5 , we incorporated the ideas of current users and prospects for transparence and ease-of-use,” notes John Rijksen. “We keep hearing that innius finds adoption in more and more companies that manufacture, rely on, or service industrial assets because the solution’s unique combination of live data from machine assets, mobility, social collaboration, and data storage and processing in the cloud, offers new opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of industrial production. With these latest enhancements, innius once again reduces the distance between production and maintenance management and a company’s objectives.”
