Ewon, MQTT & Production Order API

Illustration of an automated factory production line being monitored by an operator using innius

The power of the innius platform lies in its ability to seamlessly integrate physical machines with a digital ecosystem, enabling real-time data analysis and optimization. Key to this integration are the robust and versatile connectors provided by innius, which facilitate the input of data from various sources. Among these connectors are the Ewon Connector, MQTT Connector, and the Production Order API.

Ewon Connector

The Ewon Connector integrates the capabilities of the Ewon® Flexy device, a remarkable solution that simplifies the connection of industrial machines to the internet. To leverage this technology within innius, a dedicated component has been developed to publish Ewon tag values directly to the innius platform, based on MQTT. This out-of-the-box solution enables innius users to effortlessly harness the power of Ewon’s connectivity, streamlining data acquisition and transmission processes. It is important to note that for optimal compatibility with innius, the Ewon Flexy 205 modem is recommended. The Ewon Cosy, while also a valuable device, is not programmable and therefore not suitable for integration with innius.

MQTT Connector

Another essential connector within the innius platform is the MQTT Connector, which leverages the benefits of MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) – a lightweight and widely adopted messaging protocol. The MQTT Connector empowers users to establish a reliable and efficient communication channel between their machines and innius. Through MQTT, innius users can easily transmit and receive data in real time, ensuring timely and accurate updates on machine performance, production metrics, and other critical parameters. This connector enables integration with MQTT clients, allowing multiple machines to connect to innius effortlessly.

Production Order API

Additionally, innius provides the Production Order API, currently in Beta mode. This API empowers production companies utilizing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MES (Manufacturing Execution System) with the ability to combine real-time machine production data with production order data. By merging these two critical data sources, production companies gain a comprehensive view of their operations, enabling them to optimize production processes, enhance resource allocation, and make data-driven decisions. The Production Order API represents a significant step forward in leveraging the power of integrated data to drive operational excellence.
